About the Position
The Adelaide Hills Council area is a fantastic place to live, work, and explore. Conveniently located with easy access from the eastern and southeastern suburbs, living and working in the Hills offers a great alternative to the daily commute into the CBD.
The Adelaide Hills Council is currently seeking a Business Analyst (BA) for a 3-year contract to join the team at the Stirling Office. As the Business Analyst, you will play a key role in various business analysis, project management, system development, change management, and documentation activities.
Reporting to the Team Leader of Information Systems, your main responsibilities will include:
Collaborating closely with departments to gather and define business requirements
Analysing and documenting business processes, systems, and workflows
Identifying inefficiencies and recommending process improvements
Creating clear and detailed documentation for business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows
Maintaining comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams
Developing test plans
Proposing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Working closely with project teams to facilitate system changes at all levels
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you must possess qualifications in Information Technology or a related field or have substantial experience at a senior level. You should be comfortable managing internal relationships and providing ongoing support within a complex ICT environment throughout its lifecycle.
Additional skills include:
Experience creating detailed documentation, including process maps and flowcharts
Ability to analyse data, identify opportunities, and implement effective solutions
Understanding of project and change management principles and methodologies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience organising and facilitating workshops and presentations
Ability to collaborate effectively in a positive, accountable team environment
