About the Position

Whether you’re new to customer service, bringing prior experience, or transitioning from a hands-on trade role, this full-time position at Normetals offers comprehensive training and a great opportunity to build your career in the steel and scrap metal industry.
You’ll assist walk-in and phone customers, providing quality service, accurate information, and product support. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Provide in-person and phone enquiries and purchases
Provide exceptional customer support and advice
Process orders, sales, and payments
Quote enquiries and follow up with customers
Monitor the weighbridge and manage transactions
Support administrative tasks and maintain records
Build strong relationships with customers and tradespeople
Skills:
A passion for customer service and helping others
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Sound computer and data entry skills
