Customer Service Officer

Whether you’re new to customer service, bringing prior experience, or transitioning from a hands-on trade role, this full-time position at Normetals offers comprehensive training and a great opportunity to build your career in the steel and scrap metal industry.

You’ll assist walk-in and phone customers, providing quality service, accurate information, and product support. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Provide in-person and phone enquiries and purchases

• Provide exceptional customer support and advice

• Process orders, sales, and payments

• Quote enquiries and follow up with customers

• Monitor the weighbridge and manage transactions

• Support administrative tasks and maintain records

• Build strong relationships with customers and tradespeople

Skills:

• A passion for customer service and helping others

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Sound computer and data entry skills
