About the Position

Catholic Education is seeking an Investment Analyst to provide detailed financial analysis in support of major school infrastructure projects, capital developments, and property acquisitions, and to ensure investments are financially sound and deliver lasting value. You will collaborate with experienced professionals and play a key role in shaping investment decisions that benefit school communities for years to come.
Responsibilities
Analyse the financial viability of school infrastructure projects and property acquisitions
Prepare financial analysis, modelling and risk assessments to support investment decisions.
Provide recommendations and reports to senior leaders and key decision-makers.
Support schools with major capital projects by providing financial advice and identifying potential risks.
Review the financial performance of schools, identifying opportunities to improve results.
Developing and monitoring strategies to strengthen schools' financial performance.
Maintain financial forecasts and budget information within reporting systems.
Work closely with the Budgets and Reporting Team to support school capital planning and financial reporting.
Provide financial support to schools when required, including payroll, reconciliations, month-end processes, budgeting and reporting.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will be a commercially minded finance professional or possess a strong banking background, with strong analytical skills and experience preparing, analysing and presenting financial information to support business decisions. You will also be able to build trusted relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance with a CPA or CA qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
Experience in management accounting, financial analysis or financial planning.
Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability.
Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems capability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
