Preparation/Cooking Leading Hand

We’re seeking a full-time Preparation/Cooking Leading Hand with solid manufacturing leadership experience to join the Beerenberg team for their afternoon shift, Monday to Friday 1 PM – 9 PM. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work alongside the team within the preparation and cooking area, motivating staff, assisting with ingredient preparation and cooking processes, and maintaining high standards across all cooking and production facilities.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for:

• Lead, supervise, and motivate the preparation team

• Lead by example through a hands-on approach

• Ensure all QA, HACCP, WHS, and company standards are followed and maintained

• Assist with ingredient preparation for cooking in line with production schedules

• Assist with cooking processes as required

• Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and support to team members

• Ensure all equipment is maintained to the required standards and cleaned ready for sanitation

• Identify and resolve production issues to minimise downtime

• Liaise with management and other departments as required

About You

• Previous Team Leader or Leading Hand experience within a manufacturing or production environment; food production experience is preferred

• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

• Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability

• Knowledge of HACCP and WHS/OHS practices is preferred

• Willingness to provide or obtain a National Police Check and undertake a pre-employment medical

The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training, along with ongoing coaching and support to ensure success within the role and the business.
