Account Manager

Clay & Mineral is a proudly South Australian, family-owned business based in Golden Grove. For over 60 years, they have supplied a wide range of high-quality quarry products, including sand, soil, and gravel, across South Australia.

Clay & Mineral is now seeking an outgoing Account Manager to join their team. This full-time role focuses on managing client accounts, building strong customer relationships, and supporting the sales and dispatch teams to ensure products and services are delivered smoothly and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the first point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and service needs.

• Manage client accounts to ensure services meet expectations and budgets.

• Prepare and record quotes, maintain pricing information, and process customer orders.

• Liaise with the Operations Manager to resolve issues, follow up leads, and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Generate new business opportunities and identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and strengthen client relationships.

• Visit clients on-site to deliver samples and provide account support.

• Support dispatch operations when required, including scheduling trucks and coordinating deliveries.

• Monitor invoices, liaise with suppliers on materials and pricing, and ensure accuracy.

• Provide progress reports and contribute to team meetings to improve processes.

Skills and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will be an outgoing and confident communicator who thrives on building strong relationships and putting customers first. With previous experience in account management, customer service, or a similar role, you're able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail and a results-driven approach

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a small team or office environment

• Proficient with computers (experience with ServiceM8 is an advantage)

• Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical tasks

• Valid Police Check or willing to obtain
