Our client is now seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to support their finance team, responsible for efficiently managing invoicing and incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the broader finance function with day-to-day bookkeeping activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring strong cash flow, timely collections, and accurate financial reporting.

This role offers flexibility for the right candidate, with options for full-time, part-time (0.8), or school hours.

Responsibilities


  • Generate and issue customer invoices in an accurate and timely manner

  • Process incoming payments

  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and follow up on overdue payments

  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies

  • Resolve customer queries and requests

  • Prepare and distribute aged debtor reports

  • Review and maintain customer accounts

  • Assist with credit control procedures

  • Assist with bank reconciliations

  • Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entries

  • Provide assistance with accounts payable processing

  • Support month-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting

  • Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc reporting and tasks


Skills


To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in an accounts receivable or similar finance role, together with a basic understanding of bookkeeping principles.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach

  • Experience using accounting software and Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
