STEP’s mission is to inspire confidence in multi-generational asset management by setting high professional standards, promoting education, advocacy, influencing policy, and connecting practitioners worldwide.
STEP is seeking a Part-time Administration Assistant to provide administrative support to its volunteer teams. This remote role is 15 hours per week, ideally spread over three days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, primarily during school hours, offering a great work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your role will include:
Participating in online meetings and recording accurate and detailed minutes.
Preparing agendas, tracking action items, and ensuring timely follow-up
Drafting and formatting business communications, including letters, emails, and professional documents
Assisting in the coordination and delivery of the annual national conference
Attending and supporting the two-day National Australian Conference each year (interstate travel required)
Managing confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Operations Manager to keep operations running seamlessly
Skills & Experience:
You’ll bring a background in administration and the confidence to work independently in a remote environment. Proactive, organised, and self-motivated, you know how to manage your time effectively while keeping projects moving forward.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and confidence using online meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
Exceptional written communication, with a keen eye for detail
A positive, proactive and approachable attitude
Ability to build excellent working relationships
Events management experience desirable
