Becks is seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to join its finance team. This pivotal role will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day management of accounts payable, general ledger reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing valuable support across the broader finance function. Playing a key role in the business, you will help drive strong cash flow outcomes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities


  • Manage daily bank transactions and reconciliations across AUD and NZD accounts.

  • Prepare general and recurring journal entries accurately and efficiently

  • Oversee end-to-end accounts payable, including coding, reconciliations, and EFT payments.

  • Maintain inventory records and support stock control processes.

  • Complete month-end processes, including G reconciliations, P&L reviews, and journals.

  • Prepare and reconcile statutory obligations, including BAS.

  • Assist with Australian year-end financial reporting requirements.

  • Prepare recoverable NZ GST submissions and support NZ year-end requirements.

  • Manage petty cash and maintain the fixed asset register.

  • Provide support to Accounts Receivable as required.

  • Assist with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning.


Skills


To be successful in this role, you will bring proven experience in a Bookkeeping or Finance Officer position, with strong hands-on knowledge of accounts payable and receivable and accounts to trial balance. You will understand financial reporting processes, cash flow management, and statutory compliance obligations, with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities effectively.

  • Proficiency in Accounting software and Microsoft Excel

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach

  • Police Check or willing to obtain
