Join a supportive team that values quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Our client, a respected and long-standing food manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on Leading Hand to play a key role in supporting daily production operations at their Adelaide Hills facility.

This full-time afternoon shift position (1.00 pm – 9.00 pm) offers the opportunity to lead by example, work closely with cooks, prep teams, and line operators, and help ensure smooth and efficient production processes.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead, mentor, and train production staff to achieve operational targets.

• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP, OHS, and GMP standards.

• Monitor product quality, minimise rework, and reduce waste.

• Support rostering, performance discussions, and process improvement initiatives.

• Coordinate production activities, ensuring equipment and materials are ready for use.

• Liaise with maintenance, technical, and warehouse teams to resolve issues promptly.

• Complete production documentation accurately and on time.

About You

You’re an energetic and proactive leader who enjoys working in a hands-on production environment.

• Experience in food or manufacturing operations.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Solid understanding of food safety and quality systems (HACCP, OHS).

• Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

• Basic computer literacy (MS Office, production systems).

• Previous experience as a Leading Hand or Team Leader in food manufacturing (highly regarded).

• Knowledge of SCADA systems or automated production lines (desirable).
