About the Position

MGA Whittles is one of Australia's leading strata and insurance brokers. The Group combines local expertise with national capability, supporting thousands of property owners, committees, and communities, as well as insurance broking, risk management, and claims across Australia.


Due to growth, MGA Whittles is seeking an experienced full-time Payroll Officer to join their Finance team in the national head office in Dulwich. You will play an integral role in delivering accurate, timely, compliant, and customer-focused payroll services across multiple entities and states.


Reporting to the Accounting Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Process end-to-end payroll across multiple sites and states.

  • Process payroll calculations, deductions, superannuation, payroll tax and statutory payments accurately and on time.

  • Perform and review complex manual payroll calculations.

  • Ensure payroll complies with Australian legislation, awards and statutory requirements.

  • Complete payroll reconciliations, reporting and assist with audit requirements.

  • Respond to payroll enquiries and provide exceptional support to employees and managers.

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and identify opportunities to improve payroll processes.


About You


This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys managing the complexities of payroll and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, compliance and service excellence. You enjoy working as part of a supportive team, have a strong eye for detail and are committed to providing outstanding service to employees and managers.


To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience processing end-to-end payroll in a medium to large organisation.

  • Understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards and statutory requirements.

  • Excellent communication and ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Strong problem-solving ability

  • Intermediate Microsoft skills including Excel
