About the Position

Due to a recent restructure within the Finance team, an exciting new opportunity has been created for a Senior Financial Accountant. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role plays a key part in supporting financial operations, driving commercial performance, and contributing to strategic decision-making across the business.


About the Role


As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will prepare and analyse financial reports, transform complex data into actionable insights, and support business growth through sound financial management. This “hands-on” role will require you to collaborate with senior leadership and operational teams to ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and informed financial planning.


Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and performance reports

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting

  • Manage end-to-end transactional processing and financial statement generation

  • Lead statutory reporting (BAS, FBT, ABS Surveys, etc.)

  • Provide commercial insights to support business performance and identify growth opportunities

  • Mentor and guide finance team members, contributing to a high-performing culture

  • Support strategic initiatives with financial modelling and scenario analysis

  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements

  • Coordinate annual audits and ensure financial system integrity

  • Translate financial data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders


Skills and Experience


To succeed in this pivotal role, you will be a commercially focused finance professional with the following:

  • CPA or CA qualification (essential)

  • Strong experience in financial reporting, business partnering, and data analysis

  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in ERP systems and BI tools

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

  • Previous experience in manufacturing (highly regarded)

  • Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
